Full Stack Software Engineer - Job Description

You will be joining the core development team to solve the most important engineering challenges. You will be building new features and optimising code to enhance the Talkative products. Work will vary between front end, back end, security and client deployments. Expect to be working on challenging problems and learning every day.

You will be working alongside skilled colleagues in a fast-paced startup environment. You will be encouraged to solve problems creatively. It's important to have a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn quickly. You will be supported and mentored throughout your time with Talkative. This is a position at the Talkative HQ, next to the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport.

Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and related frameworks required. Knowledge of real time technologies and native mobile languages would be a bonus.

You will be supported by the founding team, and have access to ongoing mentoring to supplement an initial in-depth 2 week training programme. You will be measured on the amount of net new business you generate for Talkative. You will be:

  • Generating leads and revenue from new clients

As Talkative’s client base continues to grow, we’re looking for a Technical Account Managers to work in conjunction with sales, marketing, and product development teams to ensure the success of our clients and their use of the Talkative software solution. This is a critical position within our company and you will have the opportunity to grow the client success team as the company grows. We are looking for people who are as comfortable speaking to clients on the phone as they are using Chrome Developer Tools. You will be supported by the founding executive team and have access to ongoing mentorship to supplement an initial in-depth 2 week training programme. What will you be doing?

  • Taking ownership for setting up new clients on the Talkative platform
  • Ensuring client issues are responded to quickly and accurately
